He might well be writing JOE LONGTHORNE’s autobiography; writing for the YORKSHIRE POST every Saturday; making TV programmes for THE COUNTRY CHANNEL; lead singer of a popular functions covers band FOG, one half of acoustic duo CMC;

a solo performer in his own right; and organiser/singer of THE SINGING FARMERS, but there’s more to come before Christmas! He might not have done his own Christmas shopping yet, but he’s busy! TONIGHT sees Chris on TV, on the BBC LOOK NORTH programme (the one that’s broadcast from Leeds & covers predominantly West & North Yorkshire – if you have SKY & you’re not in the pick-up area to get it on 101 then try 977 or somewhere around there that’s where you can watch  the regional stations not broadcasting in your area). Tonight Chris will be appearing with Ken Jackson as THE SINGING FARMERS to publicise the concerts in March 2010, as well as singing some Christmas songs. Chris & Ken will be on telly around 6.45pm… THEN… straight after that he’s ‘on the road’ to THORNER, near LEEDS where his band FOG is playing @ The Mexborough Arms, starting @ 9.30pm – you are advised to arrive by 9pm! TOMORROW – Wednesday 23 December sees FOG play their last gig of the year @ their home ground in THE BUFFERS, SCHOLES, nr LEEDS also starting @ 9.30pm.. you really must get there by about 8.30pm for that one if you want to sit – but then again FOG are all about partying, so you’ll need to be up and dancing!! In between times Chris will be continuing writing the autobiography which is now @ 86,000 words – only another 4,000 to go! The UK’s acoustic music scene has seen nothing like part UK based CMC. The pairing of Chris Berry and Mick Clarke has earned a great deal of plaudits in recent times and this Friday 20 November sees them returning to their home ground for the first time this year!

 ‘Mick lives in Spain these days,’ says Chris. ‘So we only generally get chance to gig together for a month at a time when he’s back home. This will be our fifth gig in the past 15 days and no matter where we’ve played we have had a brilliant reception. Our brand of acoustic music and Mick’s excellent harmonies surprises our audiences and the radio stations seem to like it too. We have recently appeared on BBC Radio Leeds, York, Humberside, Tees and Minster FM – including being the ‘house band’ for James Watts’ shows. We are really looking forward to Friday evening’s show which will be  at our local pub THE BUFFERS in SCHOLES, near Leeds on Friday.’ CMC have earned more than just a good reputation in their 4 years as a different act to the norm, they are also rumoured to be performing as the openers to fantastic UK legend Joe Longthorne’s UK TOUR next year. ‘We would absolutely love that,’ says Chris. ‘We both really admire Joe. He has a fantastic voice and it would be a very real honour for us to open his shows.’ The Buffers gig on Friday of this week could well be the last chance to see Mick & Chris in action together until next year as Mick is due back in Spain shortly.
