I write for a number of newspaper and magazine titles including : Yorkshire Post, The Journal, Northside and various farming titles in Yorkshire, Cumbria, Northumberland & County Durham.
I specialise in rural/farming stories including everything from villages to rural issues and farming concerns.
I also specialise in interviewing TV celebrities, singers/enteratiners, sports such as cricket, football and rugby league, and music. Presently writing THE JOE LONGTHORNE STORY scheduled for release in April 2010.
I am also the lead singer in a highly popular party/rock covers band and an acoustic music act – playing throughout Yorkshire and the north of England. We play everything from Brown Eyed Girl to Valerie & Teenage Kicks to Sex On Fire. We’re great for theatre gigs, parties, weddings, celebrations.. we play Beatles, Stones, Current Bands, Stuck In The Middle With You, Elvis
My TV presenting credits include my own rural TV programme THE GATE and I am presently presenting and producing my own programmes for THE COUNTRY CHANNEL.
My first novel TOUGH SEASON set around the background of a struggling rugby league club is being edited at present with a view to release later in 2010.
Recording-wise I have released 4 CDs. One is a solo abum of songs written by myself – entitled TANGLED. A further solo release was THE SMILER – THE EASY LISTENING ALBUM, which features big band/swing/blues & acoustic covers. The other two are both CDs from CMC the acoustic music act, entitled PURE and ACOUSTIC JUKEBOX. FOG’s first live album is due for release next year.
