The early recordings really have never been released… they are NOT the tracks that appeared on ONLY ONCE, Joe’s first ever LP, that many fans consider to be his earliest works. However, you may also be interested to know that CHRIS BERRY will be appearing on BBC Radio Leeds tomorrow both as writer and singer in his own right on PAUL CUNNINGTON’s afternoon show at 2.30pm. CHRIS will be playing one of the songs from his show as well as talking about his own career, plus that of JOE LONGTHORNE. As you will know by now Chris has been writing Joe’s official autobiography during 2009, which is set to be released in late March 2010. Chris will be talking about the time he has spent with Joe during 2009 and the man himself. FOR THOSE who are looking for more information about the rare recordings which will also be made available with JOE’s book Chris is happy to report that they will contain tracks that were originally recorded in 1974-75 when Joe was just 20 years old. They include songs such as MY LIFE IS JUST LIKE A SYMPHONY – a song that Joe feels would be a real winner for X-FACTOR’s Joe McElderry – which was written by a Hull man Gary Nicholson, and another Nicholson composition YOU YOU YOU.
